2019-2020 10s Program Registration is now closed. For further information, please contact plvcdirector@gmail.com

Welcome to the 10s Program!

We are looking for 24 players to participate in a 13 week volleyball training program. Our program will include skill development as well as game play, and have fun learning how to play the great game of volleyball! Ken is the head coach - we also utilize coaches from other teams as well as some of the older players who will also interact with the 10s in 3-on-3 and 2-on-2 games. We will definitely have girls from our own 16s team!

Our philosophy is such that we will teach correct technique and skills, but we believe that the best way to learn the game is to get lots of touches and constantly play the game.

Other Certifications: USAV & MSHSAA Certified Referee

Occupation:  Small Business Owner

Coaching experience:  This will be Ken's 23nd year with PLVC.  He has a degree in Physical Education from WUSTL and has coached select softball as well as volleyball. His 2003 14U team finished 3rd in the Northeast Qualifier and qualified for nationals that year and also the next year as a 15U team.

At this age we believe creating movement on the court is our primary concern.  We will demonstrate and teach proper skills in all aspects of the game; and this approach is best achieved by playing in smaller groups (2 on 2 and 3 on 3) and on smaller courts.  In essence you learn the great game of playing volleyball by playing volleyball, not by endless drills in long lines while waiting your turn.  It’s about fun and excitement!
